Growth-Oriented Appointments Position Company for Next Phase
SAN FRANCISCO and LONDON (December 19, 2017) – MOVE Guides, a technology leader that helps HR teams move their employees around the world, today announced the appointment of two non-executive Board members, former SAP SuccessFactors President Mike Ettling and GlobalLogic CEO Shashank Samant.
“Mike and Shashank have both led transformational global technology companies through significant growth,” said MOVE Guides Founder and CEO Brynne Kennedy. “Mike’s knowledge and experience in the HR Technology industry is unparalleled, and Shashank has managed rapid scale in complex businesses across many countries.”
“I am very enthused to join the MOVE Guides Board,” said Ettling. “MOVE Guides excites me with their unique technology for global mobility, a category of HR technology that has virtually no software players yet and is as large as the HCM market where SuccessFactors and Workday operate.”
“In an increasingly global economy, businesses need the ability to move and deploy their talent anywhere they are needed. MOVE Guides is extremely relevant and valuable in this unique and expanding market,” said Samant. “I am very excited to contribute to MOVE Guides growth strategy and help make global mobility easier for multinational companies like GlobalLogic.”
Mike Ettling is a seasoned executive with experience leading technology companies in the U.S., U.K. and South Africa. He was most recently President of SAP SuccessFactors where he led substantial growth in customers and new product development. Formerly, he was the CEO of NorthgateArinso, a global HR and payroll leader, and held executive roles at Unisys and EDS.
An expert in global innovation and digital disruption, Shashank Samant joined GlobalLogic as President in 2008 and assumed the role of CEO in 2012. Previously, he was the Founder and President of NESS Technologies which he grew from inception through IPO. Prior to NESS, Samant led product engineering for Hewlett-Packard’s Verifone line of business, and was instrumental in establishing IBM’s first Indian engineering lab.
This news reflects MOVE Guides substantial market momentum. In 2017, the company raised $48 Million in Series C funding; acquired market leader Teleport; formed a strategic alliance with Team Relocations Group; and welcomed strategic hires in key leadership roles.
