Topia Systems established in Wales

Russ Ferriday, owner of Topia Systems, and an experienced software architect & consultant, has moved the company from California to his homeland of Wales.

Topia Systems Ltd continues to provide Content Management Systems (CMS), related services, consulting, and training, with an increased emphasis on managing multilingual content. Topia Systems adopts an open, collaborative philosophy, encouraging Open Source code and teaming with developers worldwide. This is particularly interesting to Local Government, because it facilitates a cost sharing approach to new developments. If you have an interest in reducing the cost of content management, or in integrating translation into content management workflows, please contact Russ on +44 7789 338868

Ogaro translation progress analysis

Topia Systems' Ogaro™ language analysis service is now available free for preview. The basic level of analysis will remain free of charge in the future. We are working on a range of additional monitoring and reporting services. Ogaro has been gathering data for several months but has only been made available to the public in recent weeks. There has already been significant interest. Your comments to ogaro@topia.com are appreciated.

Workshop on Multilingual Content Management Requirements

Topia Systems is holding a Requirements Analysis Workshop on the subject of Multilingual Content Management, to elicit the needs of larger organizations, and Local Authorities in particular.  Two dates are available, October 23rd and November 1st, and a choice must be made by October 9th to confirm the meeting space. At the moment Swansea, Carmarthenshire, and Ceredigion have expressed strong interest in attending. If you work in content management or translation, or in related areas, you will find this workshop productive and enlightening. Only your normal working skills are needed. Just bring your experience, needs, ideas, and a spirit of collaboration. More information on progress will follow through this newsletter and on the web site.
