Anderson Merchandising
Anderson needed a system to communicate the dozens of weekly media product changes to a fleet of 2500 managers visiting WalMart stores across the USA. Topia Systems worked with Anderson to define requirements, and to design and implement the result.Scheduled import processes took data from RDBMS author/title databases, and created clusters of Archetype based objects in Zope. A management interface allowed a content team to rapidly create additional information for each title. Calendar functions allowed preview of forthcoming releases for supply chain managers.
This collaboration developed from a Plone workshop held on site at the client training center and exemplifies Topia Systems' ability to combine training and project development, and to bring the lessons of one to the other.
Alliance for Nuclear Responsiblity
At the other end of the scale, with only a non-profit budget, the Alliance was looking for a way to present content created by a team of volunteers. Topia Systems developed a supporters' recognition tool to encourage contributions from business donors, and recommended some simple processes for effective creation of content with an inexperienced staff.Topia Systems, working with Open Source software, can develop powerful solutions within a client's budget.

This USA-wide estate agency has almost 70,000 agents and 800,000 listings. Topia Systems led a workshop for an internal development team covering Zope and Plone developmen techniques. In 4 days the team developed a functional workflow application and demonstrated it to their management.This project is an example of Topia Systems' learning-by-doing philosophy.
